Amy Collinsworth, PhD, joined the Office of Licensing & Ventures (OLV) at Duke University in 2002. Collinsworth is responsible for managing Duke's portfolio in the areas of orthopedics, pharma manufacturing and adaptive control systems. She brings to Duke an established track record of success in evaluating the commercial potential of new technologies, strategic IP portfolio management, and closing license and venture deals around university IP. Prior to Duke, Collinsworth was a scientist at Cogent Neuroscience, a Durham-based biotech startup company. She received her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
