Diabetes Innovation Challenge: $250,000 in Cash and In-Kind Awards

The Diabetes Innovation Challenge is a global competition for innovative solutions in diabetes.

The goal of the Diabetes Innovation Challenge is to

  • identify the most promising innovators in diabetes,
  • present them to a robust network of funders, investors, and partners from academia, industry and government and nonprofit organizations
  • award the top innovations from the competition with cash and in-kind support

Currently seeking innovations in:

  • Automated Insulin Devices (Artificial Pancreas) and related components
    • Novel glucose sensing, insulin delivery systems, cellular therapy delivery technologies
  • Diagnostics
    • Novel low-cost tests for research and screening; early diagnosis and prevention; autoantibodies, C- peptide, or other markers such as beta cell death and risk of diabetic complications
  • Therapeutics
    • Smart insulins, glucagons, immune-modulating therapies, beta cell regeneration, and treatments for diabetic complications
  • Technology Design/Disease Management
    • New and disruptive approaches to use of information and communication technologies to support diabetes management.
