Assistant Director, Life Sciences
Jee Jung joined Duke’s Office of Translation and Commercialization in 2020, bringing expertise and experience in assessing early-stage technologies for commercialization. In his current role as Assistant Director, Jee is responsible for managing Duke’s inventions primarily in the oncology space, and to guide its successful path to commercialization.
Prior to joining OTC, Jee was an Innovation Scout within the Open Innovation and Strategic Partnerships group at Bayer, identifying technology partnership opportunities from startups and universities. He was also the New Investments Analysis & Advancement Lead at Monsanto, leading a team to scout for early-stage innovations and gather competitive intelligence. In addition, Jee helped spin out a Duke technology to form GrassRoots Biotechnology and held business and scientific roles in the startup from its inception stage all the way to a successful exit in 2013.
Jee received his M.B.A. and Master of Accounting degrees from the Poole College of Management at NC State University and B.A. from New York University.
