Alteration of Dendritic Cell Metabolism to Augment Cancer Vaccine Efficacy

We have discovered a novel biochemical signaling pathway that is responsible for maintaining immune tolerance. Our data suggest that either the pharmacologic or genetic manipulation of an enzyme involved in this pathway provides a potent strategy for enhancing the ability of the immune system to destroy cancer.
