DU-145

This is a long-term prostatic culture line developed from human prostatic adenocarcinoma metastatic to the vein. It has been passaged several hundred times. The cells are epithelial and form colonies of soft auger suspension. It may be used for study of in vitro and in vivo growth characteristics, for in vitro chemotherapy testing, and for development of monoclonal antibodies.
