Thy 1 GFP-Feng21 mice
Duke University is seeking a company interested in obtaining transgenic mouse lines that are useful for the study of ophthalmic neuropathy. These mouse lines express green fluorescent protein (GFP) or yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) in all sensory nerves, retinal ganglion cells and optic nerves. In these transgenic mice, corneal nerves (Figure 1) and retinal ganglion cells (Figure 2) are brightly labeled. These mice will be especially valuable to companies having existing mouse models of human ophthalmic neuropathy.
