Diane Ignar, a Mentor-in-Residence with Duke New Ventures, brings 25+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical research and development. Diane offers broad expertise spanning discovery research in technology and therapeutics, small molecule development, clinical development and business development gained during her tenure at GlaxoSmithKline. She also brings experience with founding and operating a startup biotechnology company.
In addition to working as a Duke MIR, Diane is President of Surrey View Consulting, which offers services to biotechnology companies and nonprofit foundations in the areas of preclinical research, new product development and R&D strategy.
Diane received her B.S. Pharmacy from Purdue University and is a Registered Pharmacist. She received her Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from Duke University.
